Privacy and data use

Effective September 9, 2026

Media analysis

AIDE processes the media you upload, or media retrieved from a public address you provide, to produce the requested report. Public share links contain report data and a cryptographic fingerprint, not the media file itself.

Free forensic scan

The standard scan uses deterministic checks. The service records operational facts such as media type, scan mode, status, and time, but the application does not intentionally place uploaded media in its database.

Paid enhanced scan

Enhanced analysis is optional and clearly selected. When paid and enabled, media is sent to Resemble AI for analysis with zero-retention mode requested. Resemble AI processes that media under its own terms and privacy practices. AIDE records billing and usage information but does not store the analyzed file in the credit wallet.

Payments and identity

Stripe processes card payments. AIDE receives transaction identifiers, payment status, amount, and limited purchase metadata rather than full card details. DE/ID is required for reusable credits and extension downloads; the public standard analyzer does not require an account.

Advertising

If advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers, or similar technologies to provide and measure ads. You can manage ad personalization through Google’s advertising controls. Ads are displayed only on the website, never inside AIDE browser extensions.

Contact

Questions or deletion requests can be sent through The Dead End support. Operational and financial records may be retained when required for security, accounting, fraud prevention, or law.
